A well can often be provided for around $1,600 and service an average of 300 people. This campaign will help fund approximately 125 wells, though actual costs may vary by location, drilling depth and local conditions.
By the end of March, we're on a mission to raise funds to help provide clean water to 37,500 people. But even beyond clean water, we long for people to encounter the Living Water.
Jesus Wells are open to everyone—any age, any background, any status. They're a spark of hope, a tangible sign that life can flourish and a reminder that Jesus' love never runs dry.
Since 2007, GFA World has helped install 40,000+ wells, and impacted 39+ million people through clean water initiatives. Wells are maintained by local churches and last up to 20 years, ensuring long-term support, spiritual care and lasting transformation.
“We struggled to fetch water for years. … This hand pump has brought us not just water, but hope and comfort.”
For just $1,600, a Jesus Well provides clean water to an entire village (about 300 people) for up to 20 years and are maintained by local churches.
Drilled up to 200 meters—much deeper than typical wells—these wells deliver water even in the driest seasons. Easily replaced parts and durable handpumps ensure long-term service.
Local churches care for each well, with pastors offering prayer to anyone who needs it. As families spend less time fetching water, children live longer and people encounter the Living Water—entire communities begin to thrive.
“Jesus answered and said to her: 'Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.'”
—John 4:13-14
