GFA in the Community
Since relocating to our new campus in Wills Point, Texas, in August 2014, GFA has been warmly received by the community. As we’ve made this new area our home, we have enjoyed getting to know the local believers and getting plugged in with the congregations in the area.
We’ve already enjoyed many fellowship opportunities as we engage with the community around us. See for yourself what life is like out here on the “Texas Prairie”!
Community events have always been an exciting time for us, as we open up our facilities to be used to encourage believers here in the U.S.
Be it by hosting conferences for homeschooling families, sermonindex.net, radio stations or other ministries, we are grateful for each opportunity to serve the Body of Christ.
Shortly after the new campus was completed, we hosted an open house, welcoming the community to come meet us and explore our campus.
Hot dogs for all: Good old-fashioned southern hospitality!
A tractor-pulled hay ride took our guests all around the campus, including the defining big red “barn” that serves as our warehouse.
We enjoyed great conversations with our new neighbors, thankful for those who came even in spite of threatening rain!
With so many churches nearby, we invited all the local pastors to a luncheon and have been enjoying building relationships with the local Body of Christ.
When large mailings need to be stuffed, we are thankful for the help of new friends from the community who cheerfully volunteer their time.
Whether individuals have joined us to visit, pray, help stuff mailings or even pitch in with planting trees around campus, our Wills Point neighbors have been a blessing.
