Text from this PhotoShow:

Tripura is one of India's "Seven Sister States." These seven geographically isolated states are found in Northeast India. The "Seven Sisters" are home to dozens of insurgent groups, whose acts of violence tear at the fabric of the region.
Gospel for Asia missionary Rajender Sahare is devoted to sharing the Gospel here, in his home state of Tripura. It is a difficult calling. In addition to dodging violence, he must overcome deep-seeded local superstitions and overwhelming poverty.
Rajender has found that people respond to sincere, one-on-one conversations about the Savior.
Since many people are illiterate, he takes time to explain the message of salvation found in the Gospel tracts he distributes.
Rajender also prays for their needs. This often leads to conversations about Christ and His love.
Rajender relies on God to provide opportunities to share the Good News. In one village, Rajender stopped for a haircut and found that the barber, Pochiah Ekka, had been asking God to send someone to tell him about Jesus. Rajender got a haircut that day, and Pochiah began a relationship with Jesus.
Now everyone who gets a haircut from Pochiah hears about Jesus. Many from the shop, including Pochiah's own family, have given their hearts to Christ.
Pochiah wanted everyone in the village to see the message of the Gospel, so he asked Rajender to invite a Gospel for Asia film team there. The team set up an impromptu outdoor theater and showed an Indian-made film about the life of Christ.
As a result of the film, all of these people—more than 30—chose to follow Christ.
Because Rajender was diligent in sharing the Lord, and open to His leading, this village in Tripura, India, now has a thriving church. These believers, still fresh in the knowledge of their salvation, are thankful that Rajender cared about them enough to share the Good News.
