A sewing machine was an answer to prayer for a poor family in Asia. This family had been praying that God would provide a way for them to overcome their financial struggles, and their only son, Sabrang (not pictured), received a sewing machine through GFA World’s Christmas Gift Catalog in 2010. Sabrang said, “It is only God’s grace and His love that helped me get this sewing machine, through which I can be a help for my family.”

A national missionary can only get so far on his own two feet. With a bicycle, he can travel to 3 times more villages with the message of God’s love! And when a bike is given to someone in a community, it provides transportation and the means to earn an income. The impact of this gift will keep going for miles!

Only four days left of GFA World’s Christmas countdown! GFA-supported missionaries will bundle up with this gift: a winter clothing packet! It comes with a blanket, a jacket, and a sweater, and is given to those who need it—both to missionaries and to people in the community.

And because the toilet was given through the local church, it will be a constant reminder of God’s love. “I am thankful to the church for being concerned for the poor and needy people. ... Being poor, we were not able to build a toilet for our girls, but now we all are happy that we can use it at any time. We, as a family, are grateful to the church for this facility.” —Ladhi

It’s only because of Christmas—Jesus being born— that GFA is even a ministry. For Christmas Eve, the gift of the day is a goat! And what’s not to like about a goat? They’re fun, they’re practical for a family in Asia, and they’re downright adorable. It’s neat that a goat can bring a smile and show God’s love so tangibly.
