Text from this PhotoShow:

Even though most parts of the Indian subcontinent don't receive snow in the winter, it does get cold during these months. Sometimes a dry pile of leaves lit on fire helps to stave off the early morning chill.
Without indoor heating, GFA World native missionaries wrap themselves in blankets to stay warm. North India and the countries of the Himalayas often will see winter temperatures drop below freezing.
This missionary in Nepal wraps a shawl around his neck on a cold morning.
Two missionaries show "before and after" the Winter Clothing Fund provides a coat and hiking shoes (both missionaries receive the warm weather clothing!).
A good pair of hiking shoes (left) will last about a year and a half in the rugged terrain of the Himalayas. Another missionary shows what he wore before he received his hiking shoes.
According to our field leader in Nepal good hiking shoes enable the missionaries to be much more productive during the winter months. Instead of staying inside for warmth, they can be out sharing the Gospel and visiting believers.
Winter clothes do make a difference for GFA native missionaries as they reach remote villages to bring lost souls to Jesus Christ.
GFA missionaries—both men and women—are very grateful for the winter clothing that allows them to share the Good News of Jesus Christ all year long!
