Earlier this year, GFA World leaders distributed gifts of livestock in a poor village in Nepal..
Provided through gifts from Christians in the West, these gifts of livestock can be life-changing.
A water buffalo meant, finally, a steady income for Balji and his family. They are members of a GFA-related church, and even in their poor circumstances are joyful in the Lord and trusting Him to provide.
Like this man, Balji works as a laborer, doing his best to provide for his wife and three children.
Like many Nepali people, Balji's wife works in the fields, but they still don't make enough. They have been evicted from their home numerous times for being unable to pay the rent on time.
Balji and his family were grateful to receive the buffalo. They want to donate some of the animal's milk to make tea for an upcoming pastors' conference.
The buffalo will also provide nutrients for Balji's children. This will prevent them from becoming malnourished, which is a serious problem in Nepal and throughout South Asia.
Balji and his family are just one of the hundreds of families who received livestock and other gifts provided by GFA supporters around the world.
These simple gifts can bring hope for a family, and they are a physical example of Christ's love for them.
