Women Missionaries

Millions of women in Asia are suffering and struggling for survival. This fund offers these women and their families help in times of need by providing food, medical care or other vital support.

When women in Asia lose their husbands, they often face social stigma, poverty and danger. In addition, millions of abandoned children roam the streets of Asia. GFA’s Widows and Abandoned Children Fund seeks to rescue these widows and abandoned children from their desperate circumstances and provide hope amidst their struggles.

Millions of women in Asia cannot read or write. Literacy programs equip these women with skills that enable them to flourish, gaining knowledge and skills never before possible.

A pair of chickens can multiply quickly, providing eggs, offspring and a brighter future for a family in poverty. They’re also inexpensive and easy to care for.

Vocational classes provide job skills for men and women to break out of the cycle of poverty, equipping them to start or expand businesses.

Clean water is one of the most vital resources a family needs. For many in Asia, their only source of water is a dirty, stagnant pond or lake. BioSand water filters can purify dirty water for entire families, providing them clean drinking water every day.

For an impoverished individual or family, a goat can become an incredible source of income when they sell their goat’s milk or its offspring.

Sewing machines bring hope and dignity to people in desperate situations. This gift can help the recipient lift their entire family out of the cycle of poverty.

Many in Asia do not have any sanitation facilities. Forced to relieve themselves outside, these families face the threat of disease. Women may also face harassment. Providing a sanitation facility blesses and protects family members from the risks of open defecation.

Women missionaries share God’s love with other women in Asia. Able to minister to women in all walks of life, these missionaries make it possible for suffering women to understand that they are loved and cherished by our Lord.
