Missionary Laxmi

I was born December 2, 1991, into a non-Christian family in Nepal. As per our religious traditions, we worshiped gods and goddesses. I did not have peace in my heart.

Since from childhood, I saw my mother fell sick constantly. Due to my mother’s illness, I quit my studies to take up her responsibility. During that time, a Bible woman came to pray and share about God’s love and invited us to attend the church.

I started to think deeply if Jesus could change our family. However, I began to attend the church services regularly. As a result, after seven years, my mother was healed completely. That miracle made me realize the love of God. I fervently prayed to the Lord with a broken heart and asked His forgiveness. I then received Jesus as my personal Savior.

However, when we became followers of Christ, we were despised by the villagers. Despite of all those difficulties, we kept our faith on Jesus. Eventually, as I asked the Lord for His will in my life, He confirmed me of His calling. He opened a way for me and I joined a Gospel for Asia Bible School to study the Word.
