Fighting between the Burmese military and the Kachin Independence Army has brought life in the Kachin State of Myanmar to a halt. Thousands of people are suffering as their homes are burned by shelling, and the government has implemented a strict curfew and closed most schools.
Gospel for Asia pastor Thet Min described how people in his community are handling the situation: “We have dug a hole in our church building, another in the Baptist church and one in the Buddhist monastery,” he said, “Whenever we hear the sound of firing, we immediately hide together in each hole.”
Please pray for:
- Peace between the Burmese military and the Kachin Independence Army.
- Safety for believers and their neighbors in the midst of this conflict.
- Missionaries to be able to continue sharing the love of Christ despite limitations.
