K.P. Yohannan (Metropolitan Yohan), founder and director of GFA World and Metropolitan of Believers Eastern Church, departed in the presence of God on May 8, 2024. He was a missionary statesman with an undying call to share the love of Christ with this world and to inspire others to follow in his footsteps. He reposed in Dallas, Texas, due to a sudden cardiac arrest while receiving treatment after being struck by a car while on his morning walk on May 7, the day prior.

I first heard about Gospel for Asia when I received his book, Revolution in Missions for free. That alone touched my heart and I have been giving ever since. I am so grateful that K.P. Yohannan saw the vision God had for him and the ministry he started. It has allowed me to give to a part of the world that I may never step foot on. I know that there are people walking up to him right now and saying, Thank you for giving your time to the Lord. Only God knows the purpose in this situation. I am just so thankful that his legacy will carry on to touch many more lives.

Thankful for the life of KP Yohannan, for GFA , and for the School of Discipleship.
Thankful for his love for the Lord and his heart to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. He demonstrated the love of God for the least of these. He brought God's comfort to the poor, the orphans, and the widows. His life impacted many. He encouraged the body of Christ to live boldly. He set his eyes on eternity. He spoke about true discipleship, what it means to follow the Lord to live all for Jesus. Praying for the family. Praying for the believers and all who were ministered to by his life.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Metropolitan KP. His unwavering faith and dedication to the Christian community will be deeply missed.
He had a truly sincere impact on so many lives. His profound wisdom and unwavering commitment to service was a constant source of inspiration and strength for me. I will always remember him calling me GFA’s Mayor notwithstanding that the complex wasn’t in Wills Point or for that matter Van Zandt County. He stated that because we met when GFA was breaking ground years ago and stayed in touch.
Every conversation I had with him was impactful. His humble demeanor coupled with an ocean depth knowledge of the Word left me encouraged after each encounter.
The legacy he leaves behind is a testament to his faith and the positive influence he had on those around him. He brought everyone closer to God and to each other. His global influence adds to this legacy and the ripples of his influence in the name of the Lord will be forever felt.
