My GFA Story
I grew up in a loving family in Washington state and I always knew about God, but I wasn't truly saved until age 16. I attended church and gained a stronger understanding of scripture and what Jesus did for me. I attended GFA World's Set Apart retreat to meet more Christian friends around my age, but halfway through the retreat I felt the strong calling to serve at GFA. I applied for GFA's six month Apprenticeship Program and after completing the program, I joined GFA as a full-time staff member. It has been a wonderful adventure serving here and I wouldn't trade it for any other job.
What I do
I serve in the Recruitment Department. My role includes searching for local and national young adult events and ministries at churches and colleges where we can share about the GFA. I also travel to these events with my team to connect with young people and promote the Apprenticeship Program.

Whatever role the team member plays in their administrative office—from contacting ministry supporters to processing donations or designing web pages—each one fills a crucial need within the ministry and enables more than 100 national missionaries to minster in Asia.
