My GFA Story
Before GFA World, I worked a variety of jobs from construction to retail to sales to administration. I’ve bounced around a lot, but it never quite settled right. Even when I felt good about the work, my talents didn’t align and I was ultimately a detriment to wherever it was that I was working. In 2020, just after the pandemic really hit, I graduated with a degree in UX/UI design but I didn’t have somewhere to capitalize. Then my sister informed me of GFA and after a few relatively short conversations, I made my way to Texas to see what God had in store. It took no time at all for me to see that I was meant to be here, and that God had planned for this.
What I do
As a majority, I act as the primary visual designer. I also offer opinions, aid in front end development (in training), and work in any capacity asked of me. It’s a unique and validating experience to offer ones own skills for the betterment of the ministry. Visual design aids in effective communication, heart, and intent with the ministry and the field. It allows us to create fast and effective relationships with those who are only just learning of the ministry while also offering an easy point of access to those who have been with us for longer.

I read a lot, play games (the board and video kind), write when I can, draw when I’m able, and talk to people. I am also a big movie nerd, with Denis Villeneuve being my favorite current director. I enjoy educational content, as few things are as satisfying as learning something. I watch plenty of shows, especially based on recommendation.

Whatever role the team member plays in their administrative office—from contacting ministry supporters to processing donations or designing web pages—each one fills a crucial need within the ministry and enables more than 100 national missionaries to minster in Asia.
