My GFA Story

I serve at GFA World because I want to give my life for something that will last through eternity. After reading “Revolution in World Missions” I was convinced that in my career and life I was subtly living for my own “kingdom” on this earth, and it was taking up my time and my peace. As I read about the rich fool in Luke 12:20, I realized that most of my life investment would mean nothing in the end. I would be gone and stand before Christ, having done little to invest in Gods kingdom. God was able to show me that living for His purposes and serving in His story of redemption was the greatest purpose in life. That living for knowing Jesus more intimately and being involved in His work of saving people are the greatest things. This is what will last after I am gone. I started downsizing what I had, but that wasn’t enough. I had to make a life change and be directly involved in Christian ministry. I know what it feels like to want to be involved at a deeper level but not knowing how. Now I get to be a voice for those who don’t know Christ in Africa and Asia. I get to help others use their resources and be involved in this part of God’s story.

What I do

I serve in the digital department by creating and editing digital web media. Some of my common work includes editing and posting articles, creating emails, developing media strategy, updating web pages, and being and generally being an ambassador on behalf of the work in African and Asia. I try to to effectively communicate the need in the world for the Good News. And encourage others to get involved somehow. I also have the privilege of connecting my supporters directly to the mission field through newsletters to help them see the work that God is still doing today.
