GFA and its affiliates worldwide provided more than 4,800 clean water wells (Jesus Wells) to needy communities across Asia in 2019 alone. And we’ve provided more than 10,000 water filters to communities, helping transform thousands of lives.
Each Jesus Well has the ability to provide clean, drinkable water to 300 people a day. And each water filter meets a family’s needs for clean water. These clean water projects are literally saving lives and transforming thousands of communities–like Nandita's. Watch her story below.
Join us in faithfully fighting for clean water for women like Nandita and her family.
The Replenish Project helps GFA to continue making progress, in a sustainable way, to supply communities and villages in Asia with wells, filters and the maintenance needed to ensure the clean water does not stop. This monthly clean water program allows you to provide clean water for people in Asia all year long.
Your monthly gift can help transform the lives of families in Asia and we believe will help enrich your life as well, as you remember those who you’re helping.
When you give to clean water projects, you’re replenishing
necessary resources and you make this possible:
Jesus Wells and BioSand water filters provided for communities in Asia who need access to clean, safe water every month. Jesus Wells can give clean water to an entire village and a BioSand filter can provide 98% pure water for a family.
Monthly giving helps us and our field partners plan for and provide with stability, knowing resources are being replenished to meet current needs and plan for future needs. Locals and partners in the field are empowered to decide which project meets the needs of a community best.
GFA’s desire to provide clean water for the millions without access is motived by our love for God and because pastors and missionaries help distribute wells and filters, people understand that God loves them too.
“With your support, we’re changing that reality for thousands of grateful people in Asia. We’re drilling wells to make good clean water available for villagers, often for the very first time. And for those whose water is contaminated, we’re providing BioSand water filters that make it safe again. It’s hard to express just how life-changing these improvements are for people who have suffered their entire lives without decent water.
Then, by helping people with their immediate needs, we open the door for deeper relationships. People also learn that God loves them—and they experience it firsthand through this practical act of kindness.
This is what you are part of when you give to GFA World’s clean water initiatives. I wish I could express how much your generosity means to the countless people you could bless. Their daily lives can be enriched as they receive hands-on help, and they can experience how much God loves them. Nothing we could do on this earth is more valuable or important than that!”

GFA’s clean water projects include Jesus Wells and Biosand Filters. When you make a donation preferenced for clean water projects, you’re helping provide for ministry in the manner that’s most needed at that time. This is in part why the Replenish Program encourages sustainability. You enable GFA and affiliates the ability to meet the needs of the communities and villages in the best way possible.
If a village needs a well, your commitment helps us provide a well. If a family needs a water filter, your monthly commitment can also help us provide a water filter. If a well needs maintenance or a cleaning, your generosity helps here too.
Your donation is combined with the donation of other generous donors and together, we’re helping transform communities. All donations are subject to GFA’s Gift Acceptance Policy.
On average, clean water can be provided to an individual each for just under $5.
A Jesus Well is used by 300 people a day, on average. This number can vary depending on the location of the well, the surrounding population size, weather, local events, etc. Currently, the average cost of providing a Jesus Well is $1400. If 300 people use a $1400 Jesus Well each day, that math “filters” down to be just under $5 per day per person.
Also, a properly installed Jesus Well can last decades. Many last 20 years. So, for just under $5, clean water could be provided to a person each day for 20 years. Wow!
